Murder

The claim that 13% of the black population committed half of the murders in the US is way off (i.e. Racism); it's actually 0.010%.

FBI numbers for 2017 show that black people committed 5,025 murders of a total of 9,468, which amounts to 53%.

Assuming that each single murder was committed by a different person, 5,025 of the 47 million black people in the US would be murderers. In other words, 99.989497% of black people did not commit murder. On the side of white people, 99.994923% did not commit murder either.

Black on Black murder rate is 89%.
White on White murder rate is 81%.

Violence

Bureau of Justice statistics conclude that

  • Poor hispanics (25.3 per 1,000) had lower rates of violence compared to poor whites (46.4 per 1,000) and poor blacks (43.4 per 1,000).
  • Poor urban blacks (51.3 per 1,000) had rates of violence similar to poor urban whites (56.4 per 1,000).
